Obituary
Francis "Fritz" Frieler, age 84, of Annandale died Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2011 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Annandale with Fr. Victor Valencia officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service, Saturday at the church.
Francis Joseph "Fritz" Frieler was born December 26, 1926 in Grenora, ND to George and Mary (Wenker) Frieler. He graduated from high school in Morris. On August 29, 1951, he was united in marriage to Eileen Sand at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Munich. Fritz worked as a butter maker for 23 years at the Annandale Co-Op Creamery and the Fair Haven Creamery, retiring in 1985. After retiring, he worked part time at the Marketplace in Annandale.
Fritz enjoyed bowling, playing cards and watching wrestling. He loved to work with wood and work on a farm. Family was very important to Fritz and he loved to be with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Eileen; daughters Diane Birkholz & her significant other Gary Klugow of Waverly and Joyce Bradner of Milaca; sons, Nic & his wife Marj of Glencoe, Joe & his wife Julie of Annandale, Ron and his significant other Yolanda Ortiz of Brooklyn Park and Jon & his wife Tiffany of Annandale; brothers & their wives Edward and Loretta of Melrose, Vernon & Aggie of Grey Eagle, Al & Rita of Melrose and Duane & Rita of Elrosa; sister & her husband Doris & Ervin Goebel of St. Joseph; sister in law Hildegard of Sauk Centre; thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Lloyd, Norbert and Lawerance "Butch"; and sister in law Viola.
Pallbearers will be Keith, Andrew, Matthew, Joseph, Jr., and Jody Frieler and Jazz Birkholz. The St. Ignatius Music Ministry will provide the music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care, Annandale.
