Frances L. Truenow, age 92, of Annandale, died Thursday, December 1, 2022, at the Annandale Care Center.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at Zion Lutheran Church in Annandale with Pastor Tyler LaGrave officiating. Burial will follow at Concordia Lutheran Cemetery, Fairhaven Township. Visitation will be held from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the church. Memorials are preferred to Zion Lutheran Church of Annandale.

Frances Lucille Manke was born March 3, 1930, in Amboy, Minnesota to Edward and Minnie (Plagman) Manke. Frances grew up in Annandale where she graduated high school in 1948. On September 4, 1948, she was united in marriage to Harold Truenow. Together they raised their five children in Fairhaven on the farm. After her children were grown, she furthered her education in a vocational training program in St. Cloud as a Nursing Assistant. Frances worked for the Annandale Care Center for over ten years before her retirement in 1998. Frances was a devoted member of Zion Lutheran Church where she was involved in the Lutherans Women's Missionary League and Busy Needles. She was also involved in the Lake Crystal American Legion Auxiliary and the South Haven VFW. Frances had a caring soul that enriched the lives around her. She spent her time in the garden, cooking for her family, keeping her home tidy. Frances would often call to check in and give advice to her family. She was a proud mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.

Frances is survived by her children, Kenneth (Linda) of South Haven, MN, Virgil (Lavonne) of St. Augusta, MN, Calvin (Lorae) of South Haven, MN, Sandra of Corcoran, MN, and Sherry (Michael) Mitchell of Minden, NV; grandchildren, Mark, Keith, John, Michael, Luke, and Erin Truenow, and Megan Kiffmeyer; great-grandchildren, Alan, Dylan, Ashton, Kaitlyn, Madelyn, Abigail, Holly, Olivia, Isabelle, Austin, Bailey, Ryder, Jett, Bryant, Alison, Blake, and Tyler; great-great-grandchild, Otto, and two babies on the way; siblings, Jerry Manke and Arlene Marquette; and many other family members. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Truenow; parents, Edward and Minnie Manke; grandson, Dustin Truenow; siblings, Josephine Knewtson, Claira Peterson, Chris, Fred, Elmer, Bob, and Ken Manke.

The casket bearers will be Michael Schmidt, Wayne Hentges, Ashley Laurent, Michael Truenow, Luke Truenow, and John Truenow. The honorary casket bearers will be Frances' grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Kathy Murphy will be providing music for the service.
