Frances J. Pramann, age 90 of South Haven, died Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday, January 31, 2014 at Zion United Methodist Church in South Haven with Rev. Ruth Hograbe officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service, Friday, at the church. Memorials are preferred to Zion United Methodist Church of South Haven.
Frances Josephine Gustafson Pramann, daughter of Floyd and Fannie (Cross) Gustafson, was born July 20, 1923 near Blomkest, Minnesota. She attended a one room rural school from 1st through 8th grade in Roseland Township, Kandiyohi County, School District 90. She was a 1941 graduate of Willmar Area High School and a graduate of St. Cloud State Teachers College. She taught elementary school students in South Haven and Raymond, Minnesota prior to getting married.
Frances was united in marriage to Raymond Pramann at her parent's farm home near Blomkest on August 21, 1947. The couple was blessed with 2 sons and 2 daughters. They farmed sided by side in Fairhaven Township for many years.
Frances was a member of Zion United Methodist Church of South Haven and the United Methodist Women, where she held many leadership roles. She also was a long time member of a Bible Study/Prayer Group, was a 4-H leader, former member of the Fairhaven Homemakers and Treasurer for the Fairhaven Combined Charities. She enjoyed the outdoors, nature, watching birds, fishing, camping, travel, vegetable and flower gardening, sewing, crocheting, reading and cooking.
She is survived by a son William (Violet) Pramann of South Haven; two daughters Linda Stelling of Paynesville and Shirley Pramann of South Haven; and four grandchildren Wade Pramann, Brian, Todd and Amanda Stelling. She was preceded in death by her parents Floyd and Fannie; husband Raymond; son Dennis; brother Charles Gustafson; and sister Marcella "Sally" Surbaugh.
Pallbearers will be Neal Pramann, Harold Pramann, Henry Pramann, David Pramann, Jr., Greg Gustafson, Kenny Surbaugh and Leslie Rose. Jamie Miller will play the piano for the service. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Annandale.
