Floyd G. Johnson, age 82, of Annandale died Sunday, November 10, 2013 at Cardinal Cottage of the Annandale Care Center. The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to the entire staff of Centennial Villa Memory Care and also Guardian Angels Hospice Care.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the Buffalo Covenant Church, 1601 Hwy 25 N, Buffalo. Pastors Max Frazier & Jim Kuehl will officiate and burial will be at Grace Southside Cemetery, Annandale. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and at the church one hour prior to services. Memorials are preferred.
Floyd Gustaf Johnson was born April 14, 1931 in Minneapolis to Andrew and Gladys (Erickson) Johnson. He was a 1949 graduate of Hopkins High School and a 1953 graduate of Northwestern Bible College with degrees in History and Greek. He married Judy Hoplin Farland on December 2, 1973 and they lived in Minnetonka until moving to Annandale in 1990. He was a farmer and co-owned & operated a plastering & stucco company, Plastercraft. He made trips to France & South Africa doing plaster work for missionaries and also built his three homes. He was a member of Buffalo Covenant Church, taught Sunday School for 50 years, and was a meals on wheels volunteer. He enjoyed animals, the outdoors, gardening, and being an innovator.
He is survived by his wife Judy of Annandale, children Kimberly Johnson of Orono, Tom Johnson of Orono, Jill Johnson of Columbia Heights, Christian (Stephanie) Farland of Sacramento, CA, 3 grandchildren Danielle, Jameson & Ysabela, and 1 great grandson Jack. His parents, first wife Alice Mae and sister Delores Kuehl preceded him in death.
The pallbearers will be Nathan Kuehl, Jameson Johnson, Brian Dahl, Randy Mavencamp, Luke Pederson and Agris Kelbrants. The music for the service will be provided by Karin Wickman and Dan Wickman. The arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Annandale.
