Floyd M. Brown, age 89, of the Wellstead of Rogers, formerly of Annandale, died Sunday, December 30, 2007 at his home.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 3, 2008 at the Annandale Evangelical Free Church. Rev. Dennis Johnson will officiate and burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and one hour prior to services, Thursday at the church. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Floyd was born October 11, 1918 in Annandale to Oscar and Emily (Johnson) Brown. He served his country in the Army during World War II. Floyd was married to Maxine Holmquist on March 8, 1949 in Buffalo. He owned and operated Brown's Velvet Ice Cream Co. for 55 years, retiring in 1990. Floyd was a member of Annandale Evangelical Free Church. His life centered around his love for God and his family.

He is survived by his wife, Maxine; daughters, Joelle (Les) Raney of Shoreview, Heidi (Bill) Hjertstedt of Corcoran, Melanie (Jack) Gorczyca of Eagle, ID, and Lisa (Tim) Crimmins of Meridian, ID; sons, Kevin (Mary) Brown of South Haven and Reid (Rebecca) Brown of Monticello; grandchildren, Chad, Jordan, Kyle, Britta, Krista, Justina, Terra, Corey, Jason, Mackenzie, Hunter, Tagtstrom, Marina and McCoy; and great grandchild, Addison. He is preceded in death by his sister, Doris Brown.

Pallbearers will be Chad, Jordan and Kyle Raney, Jason Crimmins, Hunter, Tagtstrom and McCoy Brown and John Vincent. Corey Crimmins will be an honorary pallbearer. Allison Raney, pianist and Britta Hjertstedt, soloist will provide the music for the service. Arrangements entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care, Annandale.
