Faye "Dickie" Johnson, age 91, of Rogers, formerly of Annandale and Minneapolis, died Sunday, May 3, 2026, at her home.
Memorial Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, May, 18, 2026, at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Todd Nelsen will officiate. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery, near Annandale.
Faye Audrey Johnson was born on April 15, 1935, in New Auburn, Wisconsin to Elmer and Helen (Loofbourrow) Nelson and was raised on the family farm as one of 12 children. She graduated from New Auburn High School before furthering her education with a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin Stout.
Dickie was united in marriage to her devoted husband, Willis "Bill" Johnson on June 9, 1957, at The Little Brown Church in the Vale in Nashua, Iowa, and together they raised a family in Minneapolis. Throughout her life, Faye was a cornerstone in the administration of their successful Amoco stations in Minneapolis and Fridley, which she managed alongside her husband. Dickie and Bill retired to the Annandale area, where they created lasting memories at Clearwater Lake and Granite Lake, before making their final home in Rogers, Minnesota.
Dickie's childhood on the farm instilled in her a strong work ethic, and the opportunity to be a part of 4H, along with a deep appreciation for nature and an affinity for gardening. She cherished spending time fishing and basking in the tranquility of the lakes. She was a playful teaser and a practical jokester. Dickie ensured that no one ever left her presence feeling hungry, as she was renowned for being a food pusher. Above all, Dickie had a deep love for her family, especially her grandchildren.
Dickie is survived by her loving husband, Bill of Rogers; children, Todd (Chris) of Orlando, FL, Jay (Dawn) of Sarasota, FL, Judy (Kirk) VanSlooten of New Brighton, Jeanette (Ernest) Lepore of Mounds View, and Jeanne (Michael) Siok of Weatherford, TX; grandchildren, Garett and Blake Johnson, Dayna (Andrew) Barta, Dustin (Roz) Johnson, Erin (Will) Matthews, Carissa VanSlooten (fiance Andrew Daly), Shelby (Brandon) Van Martin, Nicholas (Naomi) Lepore, Gina (David) Stirtz, Ryan Siok, Samantha (Jacob) Belding, and Brandon (Ariel) Siok; great-grandchildren, Zoey, Derek, Mady, Mara, Charley, Nora, Maeve, Tony, Lexi, Marcus, Liam, Paul, Reagan, and Joanna; sisters, Joan Erickson and MaryAnn (Wally) Gravunder; and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Elmer "Sandy" Nelson, Jr., Jack Nelson, Arlys Mullen, Donna Kellen, Beth Mares, baby Gail Nelson, Carolyn Martinson, Judy Mares, and Jerry Nelson
Dickie's grandchildren will serve as urn bearers. Arrangements entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial and Cremation Services of Annandale.
