Evelyn E. Stelten, age 89, of Kimball died Thursday, August 18, 2005 at Hilltop Care Center, Watkins.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 22, 2005 at St. Anne`s Catholic Church, Kimball with Fr. Tom Knoblach officiating. Burial will follow in St. Anne`s Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Kimball. There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. Sunday.
Evelyn Elizabeth Stelten was born April 6, 1916 in Annandale to Ernest and Anna (Bayless) Rosenow. She married Lester A. Stelten September 20, 1938 in Kimball and he preceded her in death on February 24, 1998. Evelyn was a homemaker and member of St. Anne`s Church. She enjoyed her family, friends, reading, cooking, gardening & bird watching and had a deep love for her grandchildren & great grandchildren.
She is survived by children, Janice of Kimball, James (fiance Patty) of Kimball, Mary (Steve) Pepelnjak of Phoenix, Joyce (Tom) Olson of Kimball, Pat (Dave) Strohmeier of Watkins, Robert (Cindy) of Kimball, Diane (Jim) Fast of Hutchinson, sister, Helen Johnson of Watkins, 22 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. Her husband, son Duane, daughter Dorothy and brothers Dale & Clifford preceded her in death.
The pallbearers will be grandsons Jim & Kurt Stelten, Jim, Scott & Mike Strohmeier, Brent Olson, Ryan & Adam Stelten and Shawn Fast. St. Anne`s Choir and Kathy Pauls will provide the music for the service. The arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Kimball.
