Obituary
Evelyn F. Heikke, age 90, of Annandale died Friday, October 31, 2003 at the Buffalo Hospital.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2003 at Church of Christ, Kimball with Pastor Jerry Albert officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Crystal. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Monday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and one hour prior to services at the church. There will be a prayer service 6:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral chapel.
Evelyn Florence Heikke was born February 23, 1913 at South Haven to Frank and Jennie (Lindberg) Snabb. She married Axel Heikke August 9, 1946 in Pierre, SD and he preceded her in death December 11, 1969. Evelyn was raised in South Haven and was confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church, French Lake. She lived in Minneapolis from 1931 until moving back to South Haven in 1974. She has lived in Annandale since 1999. Evelyn was a homemaker and was known by her family as `Auntie`. She was a kind, gentle person who loved her nieces, nephews, and loved to fish.
Evelyn is survived by two brothers and their wives, Ernest (Stella) Snabb of Annandale, Stanley (Pearl) Snabb of South Haven; sister in law, Frances Snabb of South Haven; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; brothers, William, Everett, and Clifford; sisters, Sadie Olson, Hazel Dooley, and Helen Lundeen.
Pallbearers will be Brian, Gregg, and Dan Snabb, Rodney Johnson, Gary Finneman, and Robert Olson. Music for the service will be provided by Janet Eckman, Organist and Joyce Albert, soloist.
Memorials are preferred to Church of Christ at 241 State Highway 55W, Kimball MN 55353.
