Eunice M. Ernst, age 88 of Howard Lake died Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at Ridgeview Medical Center, Waconia.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Zion Lutheran Church, Annandale with Rev. Thomas Queck officiating. Burial will follow at Corinna Cemetery, Corinna Township, Wright County. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church, Annandale and also one hour prior to services. There will be a prayer service 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Church.

Eunice Marie Ernst was born October 14, 1922 at Lester Prairie to William and Leona (Wiggs) Emich. At Saint Paul's Lutheran Church she was Baptized by Pastor Spleis and Confirmed by Pastor Stahlke. She attended parochial & public schools and in 1940 graduated from Lester Prairie High School. She married William 'Johnny' Ernst on February 1, 1942 and for many years they farmed in Clearwater Township, Wright County. Eunice also worked at Wonderalls, Briggs Lake Home for the Handicapped, Annandale Care Center, Nelson Brothers Restaurant and Bernatello's Pizza. She enjoyed time with her family & friends, quilting, sewing, embroidering and cooking.

She is survived by her husband William of Howard Lake, seven children Charlotte (Dale) Jopp of Hutchinson, Susan (Peter) Lenz of South Haven, William Jr (Faye) of Young America, Nadine (Dennis) Jopp of Maple Lake, Nancy (Gerald) Adams of Jackson, MO, Wanda (Rob) Yelton of Annandale, Jill Ernst of Howard Lake, 17 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren, also many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents William & Leona Emich, parents in law William & Agnes Ernst, son in law Gary DeMorett, brother Earl, sisters Glenna Kohler, Ruth Brown & Doris Holtz, brothers in law Harold & Alvin Ernst, George Emich, Emmert Jenneke, Leon Kohler, Robert Brown & Vernon Holtz, sisters in law Helen Emich, JoArda Ernst, Ethel Emich & Lois Jenneke.

The pallbearers will be her eight grandsons Troy Lenz, Todd, David & Timothy Jopp, Eric Ernst, Nathan, Joshua and Jacob Adams. The organist will be Kathryn Queck and the arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.
