Obituary

Ethel L. Miller, age 86, of 285 Hoyt Ave. SW, Howard Lake died Thursday, February 24, 2005 at the Annandale Care Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Middleville Township, Wright County, with Rev. Leland Bendix officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery. There will be a prayer service at 7 p.m. with visitation from 5-8 p.m. on Monday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale.

Ethel Louise Miller was born March 30, 1918 at Parkers Prairie to James and Josephine (Olbeckson) Sterriker. In 1936, she graduated from Annandale High School. She married Victor L. Miller on September 24, 1939 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Ethel was a homemaker at their farm in Middleville Township. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, its Bible Study Group, and the Lutheran Women`s Missionary League. She enjoyed her family, church, crafts, knitting, crocheting, visiting with friends, traveling, and spending the last fifteen winters in Texas. Ethel and Victor recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.

Ethel is survived by her husband, Victor of Howard Lake; children, Virgil & his wife Claudia of Howard Lake, Darlene Bjelland & her husband James of Mesa, AZ, Kevin & his wife Sherri Larson of Howard Lake; sisters, Irene Patenaude of St. Cloud, Henrietta Anderson of Annandale; brothers, James of Mound, Marvin of Annandale; and 4 grandchildren, Ted Miller, Jesse, Shay & Aidan Bjelland.

The pallbearers will be Virgil, Kevin, Ted, & Alan Miller. The music for the service will be provided by organist Ruth Goerke and soloist Alex Smoot. The arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.
