Ethel Ione Lampi, age 79, of Annandale died Monday, February 20, 2006 at the Buffalo Hospital.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at the Annandale United Methodist Church, Annandale with Rev. Marilee Benson officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Annandale. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and one hour prior to the funeral on Wednesday at the church. There will be a 6:30 p.m. prayer service Tuesday.
Ethel Ione Lampi was born September 6, 1926 in Corinna Township, Wright County to Leon and Ethel (Dunn) Smith. She married Edwin R. Lampi on November 5, 1947 and the couple later divorced. She was a homemaker and bookkeeper for Bjorklund Trucking for 30 years before retiring in 1991. She lived in the Annandale area all her life where she was a member of Annandale United Methodist Church. She loved her family, crocheting, and being active in the Birthday Club.
Ethel Ione is survived by 3 children, Linda (Walter) Bradford of Missoula, MT, Ronald (Darlene) of South Haven, and Aina (Tony) Blair of Loretto, KY; brother, Lester Smith of Mt. Pleasant, IA; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and a great great grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Harry and Cleve Smith; sister Doris Smith; granddaughter, Tina Lampi; and grandson, Ricky Russ.
Pallbearers will be Ronald Lampi, Leo Deoferio, Steve Kascht, Jason Schutz, Jeremy Blair, and Christopher Winchell. Music for the funeral provided by Sharon Planer and Mike Sommers.
