Obituary
Mrs. Ethel Annala, age 93, of South Haven died Monday, December 22, 2003 at Hilltop Care Center, Watkins.
Memorial services will be held 4:00 p.m. Saturday, January 3, 2004 at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale with Rev. Rudolph Maurer, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Maine Prairie Cemetery, Kimball. Friends may call one hour prior to services.
Ethel Annala was born January 19, 1910 in Fair Haven Township, Stearns County where she lived her entire lifetime to Ira & Iva Driver. She married Rhinehardt Maurer on December 4, 1925 and he preceded her in death on August 27, 1959. She married Andrew Annala on June 20, 1961 and he preceded her in death on January 3, 1971. She owned and operated Annala Tax Service doing bookkeeping and tax preparation work for many years, retiring three years ago. She was a Life Member of Maple Lake VFW Post #7664 Auxiliary.
She is survived by nine children & their spouses, Bertha Miller of Annandale, Gladys & Vernon Marschel of Annandale, Helen & Art Zeis of Altoona, WI, Mildred & Ralph Fredrick of South Haven, Rudy & Marion Maurer of South Haven, George & Pat Maurer of South Haven, Eva & Melvin Alama of Annandale, Laura & Tom Wittrock of South Haven, Jerry Maurer of Eden Valley; sister in law, Marjorie Maurer of South Haven; also many, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Her two husbands, son, Floyd Maurer, and sister, Sadie Stewart preceded her in death.
