Erwin C. Hoffman, age 92, of Annandale passed away Saturday, April 19, 2008.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at Bethlehem United Church of Christ, Maple Lake with Rev. Dr. Jeffrey B. Palmer officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Annandale. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and one hour prior to services at the Church. There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Erwin Carl Hoffman was born October 12, 1915 in Buffalo to the late Richard and Paula (Sieg) Hoffman. He married Edith Hines January 22, 1938 in Buffalo and they had just celebrated their 70th Anniversary. Erwin was a farmer, served on the Annandale Coop Creamery Board, and was a 30-year Albion Township Supervisor. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, mowing lawn, spending time with his family & friends, and driving around checking out the crops. He was a member of Bethlehem United Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Edith of Annandale; children & their spouses, Sandra & Charles Julian of Hutchinson, Larry & Marlene Hoffman of Annandale, Jerry & Catherine Hoffman of Sherwood, OR, Carol & Al Mattila of Annandale, Cindy & Chris Reuter of Maple Grove, Shelly & Jeff Lersch of Monticello; sisters, Evelyn Mosher of Buffalo, Laura Niesen of Watertown, Virginia Sullivan of Brooten, brother, Ronald Hoffman & his wife June of Annandale; 17 grandchildren; and 23 great grandchildren.
The pallbearers will be Brian Hoffman, Marshall Hoffman, Andy Lueck, Kelly Meyers, Brianna Reuter, and Megan Lersch. The music for the service will be provided by Myrna Jude, JoAnn Zander, and David Schmidt. The arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care.
