Obituary

Mr. Ervin J. Corky Korsten, age 71, of Kimball died Monday, September 9, 2002 at the Hilltop Good Samaritan Home, Watkins.
Funeral services were held 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 12, 2002 at St. John`s Lutheran Church, Kimball with Rev. Dave Milz officiating. Burial was in Concordia Lutheran Cemetery, Fair Haven.
Ervin John Corky Korsten was born October 14, 1930 in South Haven to John P. and Rose E. (Behr) Korsten. He served his country in the Marines during the Korean Conflict. He owned and operated Corky`s Bar in Fair Haven. He lived in Fair Haven and South Haven before moving to Kimball in 1995. Ervin was a member of St. John`s Lutheran Church, Kimball.
Two sisters, Luella DePriest of San Diego, CA, Irene Keske of Robbinsdale, and many nieces and nephews survive him. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Elmer and Norman; sister, Mildred Wilhelm.
Pallbearers were Milton Schmidt, Howard Schmidt, Darrel Schmidt, Rollin Stuve, Thomas Keske, and Steven Keske. The organist for the funeral was Marilyn Cooper.
Arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care, Kimball, Minnesota.
