Ernest A. Snabb, age 93, of Centennial Villa Apartments, Annandale died Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at his residence.
Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2005 at the Annandale United Methodist Church with Rev. Marilee Benson officiating. Burial will follow in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, French Lake Township, Wright County. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and one hour prior to services at the church. There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. Friday.
Ernest A. Snabb was born September 6, 1911 in French Lake Township, Wright County to Oscar and Jennie (Leedbloom) Snabb. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II. He married Stella T. Stokke February 7, 1942 in Kingston. Ernie farmed in French Lake Township and also worked water and sewer construction in the Twin Cities area. He was a member of Union Local #563, South Haven VFW Post #7332 and the Annandale United Methodist Church. He enjoyed cooking & baking along with Stella, visiting with family, friends & children, playing cards & board games, gardening, woodworking and fishing.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Stella of Annandale; son in law, Waldo Schacht of Annandale; daughter in law, Judy Snabb of Litchfield; brother, Stanley Snabb of South Haven; sister in law, Frances Snabb; 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 9 step grandchildren and 14 step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by infant daughter, Angela; son, Donald; daughter, Bette Loesch Schacht; brothers, Everett, William & Clifford; and sisters, Helen Lundeen, Sadie Olson, Hazel Dooley & Evelyn Heikke.
