Obituary

Mr. Ernest J. `Ernie` Pribyl, age 85, of Maple Lake died Wednesday, May 19, 2004 at the Wellstead of Rogers.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 22, 2004 at St. Timothy`s Catholic Church, Maple Lake with Father Mark Huberty officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday and 9:00-10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake. There will be a prayer service 6:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral chapel in Maple Lake.

Ernest James `Ernie` Pribyl was born September 15, 1918 in Maple Lake Township, Wright County to Robert and Sophia (Jindrich) Pribyl. He graduated from Maple Lake High School in 1935. Ernie married Florence J. Mueller August 26, 1940 in Maple Lake and she preceded him in death January 5, 2001. He served in the U.S. Navy during WW II. Ernie worked at the Minikahda Club, Minneapolis, C.C. Camps, managed grain elevators for Maple Lake and Buffalo, was the business manager for Corron Construction of Buffalo, and worked for the State of Minnesota as a Deputy Registrar, and served as Wright County Treasurer from 1975 until retiring in 1984. Ernie also owned Maple Lake Laundromat He lived in Maple Lake most of his life where he was a member of St. Timothy`s Catholic Church. He has been a resident of the Wellstead of Rogers for the past 14 months. Ernie loved his family, cars, gardening, flying, wintering in Mesa, and visiting with friends.

Ernie is survived by five children and their spouses, Bette (Harold) Cantin of Maple Lake, Ernest (Butch) of Minneapolis, Jeanne (Charlie) Christopherson of St. Cloud, Debbie (Brad) Norine of Annandale, Keith (Linda) of Roseville; sister, Delores (Al) Coffin of Brooklyn Park; sister in law, Celia Mavencamp of Maple Lake; brother in law, Gilbert Mueller of WA; eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Leo; and granddaughter, Linda Lilja.

Pallbearers will be Michael Cantin, Robert Christopherson, Ben Elsenpeter, Tony Wolff, Joe LaBelle, and Jason Cardinal. Music for the funeral provided by
