Obituary
Ellen M. Walberg, age 85, of Annandale died Tuesday, October 28, 2003 at the Annandale Care Center.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 1, 2003 at St. John`s Lutheran Church, Annandale with Rev. Scott Jakel officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and one hour prior to services at the church.
Ellen Marie Walberg was born September 7, 1918 at Annandale to John August and Emma Buranen. She married Clarence C. Walberg on October 14, 1935 in Buffalo and he preceded her in death on February 14, 1983. She was a homemaker and also worked in Minneapolis for Control Data and then Leaf Brothers, retiring in 1983. She was a member of St. John`s Lutheran Church and enjoyed dancing, fishing, and gardening.
She is survived by her daughter, Marlene Ryti of Annandale; daughters in law, Jeanette Walberg of Maple Lake & Jan Walberg of Annandale; brothers & their wives, Marvin & Marvel Buranen of Two Harbors, Walter & Arlene Buranen of Kimball; sister, Viola Balfanz of Cokato; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband; sons, Ronald and Gary; granddaughter, Jan Olson; sisters, Agnes Sheldon and Irene Walberg; and brothers, Ervin, Elmer, Clemens, and Willard Buranen.
