Ella M. Geardink, age 92, of Annandale, MN owner of Geardink's Resort on Cedar Lake died Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at Lake Ridge Care Center, Buffalo.

Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. with Funeral Services held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at Zion Lutheran Church, Annandale. The Rev. Thomas Queck will officiate and burial will be 12:30 p.m. on Monday, June 28 at Lakeview Cemetery, Clear Lake, South Dakota. Memorials are preferred to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.

Ella Marie Geardink was born July 14, 1917 in Altamont, SD to Emil and Nora Mae (Parker) Bublitz. In 1937 she came to the Annandale area to work at Mears' Resort where she met her future husband Charles Geardink. They were married on September 21, 1938 at the Geardink farmstead near Altamont. In 1946 they became owners & operators of Geardink's Resort on the north side of Cedar Lake near Annandale; Ella was still active at the Resort. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, the Church's Altar Guild & Ladies Aid, and the Annandale Kiwanis Club. Ella was named 2005 Wright County Outstanding Senior Citizen. She enjoyed her family, her resort family, bowling, ceramics, and volunteering at the Annandale Food Shelf.

She is survived by daughter Charlene Flemming of Buffalo, sister Dolores Musch of Reardon, WA, four grandchildren Mitch (DeDe) Flemming of Annandale, Michelle Flemming of North Saint Paul, JoAnn (Bill) Wainscott of TX, Charles Dolan of TX, 8 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles on December 19, 1980, daughter Janette Dolan, sisters Freida Howard & Grace Lindner and brothers Emil & Elmer Bublitz.

The music for the service will be provided by Dawn Johnson and the arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.
