Eleanor D. Kriedeman, age 93, of South Haven died Thursday, January 24, 2008 at the Koronis Manor in Paynesville.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at Concordia Lutheran Church, Fairhaven. Rev. Timothy Nerud will officiate and burial will be in Fairhaven Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Monday at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church. Prayer service will be held 6:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Eleanor Dorothy Henriette Kriedeman was born April 10, 1914 in Fairhaven Township to Carl and Annie (Renken) Blumke. She married John R. Kriedeman on June 30, 1932 in Fairhaven and he preceded her in death on September 5, 1980. She worked as a seamstress for many years and was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church. Eleanor enjoyed fishing, gardening, sewing and playing cards.
She is survived by her children, Donna (Tom) Anderson and Verlinda Schindele, both of South Haven, LaVera Hoefer of Kirkland, WA, Jerry (Doris) Kriedeman and Scheran (Dave) Janisch, both of South Haven; sisters, Gertrude Stuve of Watkins, Mabel Kennedy of Kimball and Loretta Hokkala of South Haven; bother, Elvin (Bonnie) Blumke of St. Cloud; 24 grandchildren, 61 great grandchildren, and 50 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; granddaughter, baby Hoefer; great grandson, Brandon Hoefer; sons-in-law, Joseph Schindele and Kenneth Hoefer; brothers, Leonard and Harold Blumke.
Pallbearers will be John and Jeff Kriedeman, Mark and Glenn Schindele, Wayne and Ralph Marquette, Ron Hoefer and Todd Janisch. Honorary pallbearers will be David Janisch, William Schindele, Craig, Brian and Kevin Hoefer. Verna Lee Salmela will provide the music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care, Annandale.
