Eleanor C. Thompson, age 72, of Plymouth died Sunday, June 1, 2014 at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.

Memorial Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale.  Burial will follow at Our Saviours Lutheran Cemetery, French Lake.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Eleanor Christine Thompson was born May 23, 1942 in Annandale to Frank and Esther (Rissell) Alama.  She graduated from Annandale High School with the Class of 1960.  She enjoyed reading, watching Days of Our Lives, shopping with her sisters, going to garage sales and being with her family.

She is survived by her sons Shane (Lisa) Thompson of New Brighton and Shannon Thompson of St. Joseph; four grandchildren Amanda, Dennis, Cameron and Zachary; brother Melvin (Eva) Alama of Annandale; and sisters Hazel Barnard of Lake City, Audrey Selin of Minneapolis and Marlene (Wes) Johnson of Eden Prairie and many cousins, nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters Catherine Durket, Shirley Bajari and Anita Selin; and brothers Leonard, Richard and Gerald.
