Elaine Helen Witzman began life's journey on June 4, 1937, in Cold Spring, where she was born to Joseph and Pauline (Diel) Witzman. She grew up in Cold Spring and graduated from St. Boniface Catholic School in Cold Spring with the Class of 1955. She was united in marriage to Norbert Donnay on August 17, 1957. They made their home in Maine Prairie Township, Watkins, where Elaine and Norbert farmed. For many years, she worked as a postal clerk in the surrounding communities.

Elaine was a devoted homemaker, beloved wife, cherished mother, and caring grandmother that found joy in creating a warm and welcoming home. Her life was a testament to her unwavering faith and dedication to her church. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of traveling, baking, crafting, making greeting cards, and tending to her garden. Her talents and kindness touched the lives of many. May she find solace in the embrace of heaven and may her memory be a blessing and a comfort to us all.

She is survived by her children, Cindy (John) Kreft of Luck, WI, Tom (Karen) Donnay of Watkins, Tim (Gertrud) Donnay of Marlboro, VT, Dale (Joan) Donnay of Sauk Centre, and Dan (Laurie) Donnay of Cottonwood Heights, UT; 11 grandchildren, Shannon Kelch, Jacob Schmid, Nicole Colletti, Rachael Schmid, Brianna Beinhauer, Brent Donnay, Chad Donnay, Duncan Donnay, Corinne Donnay, Henry Donnay, and Chelsea Fuchs; 21 great-grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren on the way; sisters, Mary Farley of St. Paul and Janet Gamades of Sauk Rapids; sister-in-law, Betty Donnay of Watkins; and many other relatives and friends.
