Obituary

Edna A. Glenske, age 96, of Annandale formerly of South Haven died Thursday, April 16, 2015 at the Annandale Care Center.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with Funeral Services held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Concordia Lutheran Church, Fair Haven.  The Rev. Timothy Nerud will officiate and burial will be at the Fair Haven Cemetery.

Edna Amalie Emelia Glenske was born May 1, 1918 on the family farm in Fair Haven Township, Stearns County to the late Emil and Caroline (Rucks) Glenske where she lived with her parents and grandparents.  She was Baptized on May 19, 1918 by Rev W.F.A. Lueck and Confirmed in the Lutheran Faith on May 29, 1932 at Concordia Lutheran Church by Rev W.F. Lueck.  She moved with her parents into Fair Haven in 1952 where she lived for 52 years prior to relocating to Annandale.  Edna held a variety of jobs including housekeeping, painting, clerking at the local grocery store, and working seasonally at the local floral shop.  She loved animals especially her house cat.  She liked birds, fed them and enjoyed their activity in the yard.  Edna's talents included baking, gardening, canning, sewing, and hand crafts.  Edna was a lifelong member of Concordia Lutheran Church remaining active most of her life.  She surrounded her life with the many groups and activities where she shared her faith and her talents.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents and leaves to mourn her many cousins.

The pallbearers will be Ned Root, Lester Gutknecht, Richard Frappier, Ryan Erpelding, Leslie Rose and Carl Fischer.  The organist will be Lynn Hoff and the arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Annandale.
