Obituary
Edith M. Hoffman, age 95, of Annandale died Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Parkview Care Center, Buffalo.
Memorial services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 28, 2012 at Bethlehem United Church of Christ, Maple Lake with Rev. Dr. Jeffrey Palmer officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Annandale. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and at the Church one hour prior to services. There will be a prayer service 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
Edith Marie Hoffman was born June 27, 1917 in Rockford to Fred and Josephine (Carpenter) Hines. She married Erwin C. Hoffman on January 22, 1938 and for the next 40 years they farmed in Albion Township, Wright County. Edith would proclaim that when she married Erwin and the birth of each of her children were the greatest moments of her life. He preceded her in death on April 19, 2008 concluding their 70 years of faithful marriage. Edith was a homemaker and a member of Bethlehem United Church of Christ, the Women's Guild, & Annandale VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling, crocheting, dancing, and most of all spending time with family & friends.
She is survived by children Sandra (Charles) Julian of Hutchinson, Larry (Marlene) Hoffman of Annandale, Jerry (Catherine) Hoffman of Sherwood, OR, Carol (Al) Mattila of Annandale, Cindy (Chris) Reuter of Maple Grove, Shelly (Jeff) Lersch of Monticello, sisters in law Evelyn Mosher of Buffalo, Laura Nieson of Watertown, brother in law Ronald Hoffman of Annandale, 17 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, brothers Al & Bill Hines, sisters Myrtle Wright, Dorothy Elfstrand, & Marge Bagley, and sister in law Virginia Sullivan.
The arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care.
