Duane L. Kahmeyer, age 58, of 6395 85th St. NW, Maple Lake died Wednesday, September 14th, 2005 at the Buffalo Hospital.

Duane was born July 1st 1947 in St. Cloud, to Ronald and Jeanette (Wortz) Kahmeyer. He married Sharon E. Dorr on September 10, 1966 in Shakopee. They lived in Brooklyn Park prior to their moving to his dream house to enjoy his passion for fishing on Mink Lake in Maple Lake. He worked as a Tupperware distributor until retiring last November.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Sharon of Maple Lake; children, Rhonda of Norwood/Young America, Darren (Monica) and grandchildren, Tannar of Byron, Cole and Bailey of Excelsior. Mother, Jeannette Leverty of Chaska, Brothers, Steven (Suzzane) of Chaska, David (Karen) of Waconia, 4 nephews 3 nieces. Brother/Sister in laws, David and Mary of Rogers; Tom and Bev of Eau Claire.

Our lives are forever changed because of this incredible man. Duane was certain to brighten any room with his story telling, and if you were to look up the word loyalty in the dictionary, you would find Duane Kahmeyer listed as the definition. The love of his family and friends was his most treasured achievement.

Anyone whose life was touched by Duane, is a better person for it. Duane, you will be forever missed.

A celebration of Duane`s life will be held on Sunday September 18, 2005 at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake with Deacon Ron Freeman officiating. Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated.
