Douglas Allen Wills was born on August 31, 1957, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Darrel and Shirley (Marquardt) Wills. Doug grew up in the Kimball area, where he graduated from Kimball High School in 1975 and forged lifelong friendships. He married Julie Ann Peet on December 6, 1980, in St. Paul. Together, they made their home in Fairhaven Township, where they raised their three children. He dedicated over 37 years of his life to Ford Motor Company, retiring in 2013. He was a member of the UAW Local 879.
Doug loved his friends deeply and his family was his pride and joy, cherishing every moment spent with them. His adventurous spirit thrived outdoors, whether he was snowmobiling, ice fishing, boating, or water skiing on the waters of Lake Francis and Lake Union. Doug enjoyed eating Chinese food and playing Euchre with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Julie of Fairhaven; children, Nicole (Joe) Jarvis, Jason Wills, and Jesse Wills all of Fairhaven; 4 grandchildren, Aiden, Liam, Ava, and Ellis; brothers, Steve (Deb) of Fairhaven and Tim (Doreen) Wills of Kimball; and nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Darrel and Shirley; brother, Bob (Pam) Wills; and sister-in-law, Cindy Wills.
Arrangements entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial and Cremation Services of Kimball.
