Dorothy M. Adolph, age 85, of South Haven, died Monday, May 14, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 17, 2012 at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Kimball with Fr. Tom Olson celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Anne's Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Kimball. There will be a prayer service 5 p.m. Wednesday.
Dorothy Mary Adolph was born July 21, 1926 at Litchfield to Baultis and Eleanore (Schoen) Ackerman. She graduated from Kimball Area High School with the class of 1943. On June 26, 1948 she was united in marriage to Marvin J. Adolph in Watkins. She was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church and the Kimball American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed her family & the Minnesota Twins and was the best mom ever.
She is survived by her husband Marvin; children & their spouses Julie & Michael Galloway of Phillips, WI, Vikki & Tim Donnay of Outing, Sharon & Jeff Reitmeier of Cold Spring, Joe & Benita Adolph of Watkins; sister Janice (Claude) Mohs of South Saint Paul, brother Michael (Mary) Ackerman of Cokato, 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant son, son Charles, brother Baultis Ackerman, and sisters Laura Schloeder, Bernice Kalinowski & Barbara Sikkila.
The pallbearers will be Blaine Adolph, Timmy & Phillip Donnay, Heather Madden, Jacob & Jeremy Reitmeier. The music for the service will be provided by St. Anne's Choir and Frosty Schiefelbein, organist. The arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care of Kimball.
