Donna G. Gravdal, age 87, of Annandale, died peacefully in her sleep Friday, January 1, 2016 at her home.

Memorial Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Annandale with Rev. Dave Nelson officiating.  Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service, Wednesday, at the church.  Burial will take place at Mt. Hermon Lutheran Cemetery in Albion Township in the spring.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

Donna Georgene Gravdal was born August 8, 1928 in Cokato to George and Irene (Johnson) Ryti.  She grew up in Albion Township and graduated from Annandale High School with the Class of 1946.  Donna lived in St. Paul for a short time while working at Butler Brothers in Minneapolis.  On May 21, 1966, she was united in marriage to Peter Gravdal.  Donna was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Annandale, where in her healthier years she participated in Mary Circle Bible Study.  Donna enjoyed embroidering towels for Cross Roads Animal Shelter, baking, making cards, shopping and her cat Irene.  Her time with her family was valued above all else, especially Tessa.

Donna is survived by her three daughters Georgene Gravdal (Jim Howard), Mary Gravdal (Craig Dahl) and Ann (Heath) Dahl all of Annandale; three granddaughters Tessa, Kristen and Ashley Dahl; and two great grandsons Grady Dahl and Blake Beckman.  She is preceded in death by her parents George and Irene Ryti; husband Peter; sister, brother-in-law, niece and nephew Eunice, Gaylan, Emily and Ryan Horsch; and God Child Eric Grossklaus.

Joe Horsch will serve as urnbearer. Betsy Horsch and Lana Faber will provide the music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Annandale.
