Donna G. Nelson, age 64, of Annandale, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 18, 2017.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 22, 2017 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Annandale with Rev. Tom Heyd officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Friday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.

Donna Geree Nelson was born July 21, 1952 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Donald & Geraldine (Triplett) Nelson. Donna grew up in Annandale where she also attended school. Donna worked for National Securities Clearing Corporation before she began her a career with the United States Postal Service, where she retired as a supervisor at the sorting facility in Minneapolis. Always willing to give of her time, Donna loved to volunteer & help others; whether it be by preparing meals for the homeless and others, helping with Meals on Wheels, or ringing the bell for the Salvation Army. She liked to watch odd thriller movies, liked to be scared and liked to scare others. In her spare time, Donna enjoyed riding bicycle, watching Harleys go by, snowshoeing, listening to Willie's Roadhouse, and running numerous marathons. Her greatest enjoyment came from her family, whether it be attending family events, her grandchildren's functions, or simply spending time with all those she deeply loved.

Donna is survived by her children, Brett Hulett (Tammy Estrem) of New Hope, Brian Hulett of Maple Grove, Cindy Laskow (Brian Wald) of North Branch, and Melissa Stevens of Maple Grove; her adoring grandchildren, Bret, Daniel, Joshua, Jordan, Jayden, Kolbe, Kylee, Alexandra, and Brayden; two great-grandchildren, Finley and Juniper; mother, Geraldine Nelson of Annandale; siblings, Joan (Myron) Uecker of Buffalo, Lynne (Bob) Totz of Clearwater, and Gwen Nelson (Doug Fries) of Maple Lake; and many nieces, nephews, other family members, former colleagues, and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Nelson and grandson, Justin Berg.

The casket bearers will be Bret, Daniel, Kolbe and Kylee Hulett, Joshua Erickson, Jordan Berg, Jayden Laskow, Alexandra and Brayden Stevens. Alison Totz and Orma Lou Jacobsma will provide music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Annandale.
