Donna Faye Kaz, age 82, of Annandale was called home by God on Christmas morning on December 25, 2014 at the St. Cloud Hospital surrounded by the love and care of her family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 29, 2014 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Annandale with Fr. George Kallumkalkudy as Celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Ignatius Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday, December 28, 2014 and one hour prior to service, both at the church. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the church on Sunday.
Donna Faye Kaz was born February 25, 1932 in Annandale, Minnesota to John "Jack" and Velva (Atwood) Maurice. Donna graduated from Monticello High School in 1950 and from St. Cloud School of Nursing in 1953. She was united in marriage to Edward Allen Kaz on June 23, 1956 at St. Henry's Catholic Church in Monticello. They were blessed with 3 children, Valerie, Trude and Joseph. Donna and Ed worked alongside each other when they owned and operated Kaz Hardware. Donna was a member of the Annandale Improvement Club, Camp Friendship Auxiliary, Bridge Club, St. Ignatius CCW and taught religious education classes for numerous years, was on the Annandale Care Center Board of Directors, and organized the Red Cross Blood Mobile Drive in Annandale since 1960. In her spare time, Donna enjoyed bird watching, gardening, cross-stitch, knitting, crocheting, cooking, playing cards and ministered to numerous people with her nursing background. Nothing was treasured more by Donna than the time she was able to spend with her family.
Donna is survived by her husband of 58 years, Edward of Annandale; children, Val Kaz of Annandale, Trude (John) Sowada of St. Cloud, and Joe (Melissa) Kaz of Annandale; 7 grandchildren, Andrew, Beth, Emily, Michael, Matthew, Danny, and Carrie; and nieces, nephews and other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Velva Maruice, siblings, Joseph Miller, Mary Miller, Jim Maurice and 3 infant brothers.

Donna's grandchildren, Andrew, Beth, Emily, Michael, Matthew, Danny and Carrie will serve as pallbearers with Jill, Ben, Carl and Ashley serving as honorary pallbearers. St. Ignatius Music Ministry and Pat Freiberg will provide music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Annandale.
