Donna M. Jude, age 81, of Annandale died Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at the Annandale Care Center where she has been a resident the past 3 years.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 Friday, August 28, 2009 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Annandale with Fr. Victor Valencia officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the Church from 4-8 p.m. Thursday with a prayer service 7 p.m.
Donna Mae Jude was born July 19, 1928 in St. Cloud to Darrell and Vera (Willford) Brower. She graduated from Kimball High School in 1946 and then received her teaching degree from St. Cloud State University. She married Tom Jude on June 10, 1948 and he preceded her in death on September 7, 1995. From 1960-1977 in Kimball she was the bookkeeper at Land O'Lakes Oil Company and then for 7 years along with her husband managed Travelers Country Club, Clear Lake. Since 1990 she had lived in Annandale and worked with children at Alphabet Soup and the Annandale School District. She was a member of St. Ignatius Church and enjoyed camping, playing piano, playing cards & spending time with her family & friends.
She is survived by her two daughters Connie Rathje & her husband Ken of Annandale, Peggy Ecker & her fiancAC. Mike Madden of Sauk Rapids, three grandchildren Jennifer (Kevin) Vevea, Jeremy (Kelly) Ecker, Jessica Rathje, sister Audrey Marquardt, great grandchildren Dominic, expected babies Baby Girl Vevea & Baby Girl Ella Mae Ecker, nieces, nephews, and her extended family at the Annandale Care Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, brother Robert, sister Edie Johnson Jurek, brothers in law Jim Marquardt & Larry Johnson, and nephew Ron Marquardt.
The honorary pallbearers will be Jen & Kevin Vevea, Jeremy & Kelly Ecker and Jessica Rathje. The music for the service will be provided by Mike Madden and Zach Dietz. The arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.
