Donald A. Rose, age 68, of 15114 County Road 45, South Haven died Sunday, March 19, 2006 at his home.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at Concordia Lutheran Church, Fair Haven with Rev. Timothy Nerud officiating. Burial will follow in Concordia Lutheran Cemetery, Fair Haven. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Kimball and one hour prior to services at the Church. There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Donald Arnold Rose was born June 12, 1937 at South Haven to Arnold and Erna (Kiehn) Rose. He married Lorraine Newman January 16, 1965 in Hinckley. He was a farmer and worked for T.O. Plastics, Clearwater for 30 years, retiring in the spring of 2005 as a foreman. Donald was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church and Concordia Lutheran Cemetery Board. He enjoyed his grandchildren, woodworking, landscaping and deer hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine of South Haven; 3 children & their spouses, Judy & Dennis Silkworth of Milaca, John & Eileen of Buffalo; James & Karlene of Redwood Falls; 5 grandchildren, Rachel & Timothy Silkworth, Emily, Ashley & Derek Rose. His parents, brother Dale Kiehn and 2 infant sisters preceded him in death.
The pallbearers will be Leroy & Leslie Rose, Ronald Saukkola, Steve Wright, Lester Gutknecht and Terrell Meldrem. The honorary pallbearers will be Scott, Rick, Ernie & Steven Kiehn, Ervin Gutknecht and Virgil Rose. The arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Kimball.
