Obituary

Donald D. Pusc, age 82, of Annandale, formerly of Kimball, died Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at the Annandale Care Center.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 29, 2014 at St. Anne Catholic Church with Fr. Thomas Olson as the Celebrant.  Burial will follow at St. Anne Catholic Cemetery.  Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Friday at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Kimball and one hour prior to services, Saturday at the church.  Parish Prayers will be 4:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Donald D. Pusc was born January 3, 1932 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Joseph and Ora (Beauchaine) Pusc. He attended school in Kimball. On January 9, 1954 Don was united in marriage to Claire Ann Stelton at St. James Catholic Church in Big Falls, MN. He honorably served our country during the Korean War as part of the United States Army. Don worked as a section hand for Soo Line Railroad for 9 years before he began his 40 year career as an Insurance Agent for American Family Insurance in Kimball. He was also president of Acoma & Lynn Fire Co. for 5 years.  Don was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church where he served on the finance committee. He was also a member of the Kimball American Legion Post 261 and an original member of the Kimball Golf Course. Don also managed the Kimball Express Baseball team. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, bowling, cards, traveling, especially the 20 years he and ClaireAnn spent wintering in Arizona. Don loved turtling in the spring on Carnelian Lake and camping with his family and friends. Above all, Don treasured the time he spent with his kids and grandkids.

Don is survived by his wife of 60 years, ClarieAnn of Annandale; children, Russell (Michelle) of Lexington, MN, LoriAnn Ernest of Coon Rapids, and Linda (Allan) Sjodin of Park Rapids; 4 grandchildren, Katie Pusc, Matthew, Christopher, and Kelly Ernest; 2 great grandchildren, Steven and Mason; sister-in-law, Lorraine Pusc of New York Mills; Uncle, Aubrey Roeser of Watkins; special family friends, Thomas, Karla, Isaiah, Samuel and Hannah Ehlinger of Kimball, as well as nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Leonard Pusc, Beatrice Scholen, Joyce Pusc; brothers-in-law, Norman Stelton and Bill Barber; niece, Zoeanne Stelton; and nephew, Tim Barber.

Matt, Chris, and Kelly Ernest, Katie Pusc, Kirk Hudson, and Tom Ehlinger will serve as pallbearers. Frosty Scheifelbein and St. Anne's Choir will provide music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial and Cremation Services of Kimball.
