Obituary

Donald A. Haflich, age 79, of Maple Lake, formerly of California died Thursday, September 24, 2009 at his home. Private services will be held and burial will be at sea. Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society.

Donald Alfred Haflich was born on January 10, 1930 in Stockton, CA to William and Delma (Crabb) Haflich. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Donald married Betty Rippin on October 23, 1957 in Carson City, NV. He worked in California as a teamster studio driver working in the motion picture industry. He enjoyed golf, fishing, and sports of all kinds.

He is survived by his wife, Betty of Maple Lake, children, Finnie (Karen) Grieschat of Santa Clarita, CA, Michael Wohlers of Santa Clarita, CA, Georgina "Gina" Haflich Humphries of Beaufort, SC, Deanna (Michael) Mantei of Maple Lake, brother John (June) Haflich of Arizona, grandchildren, Wesley (Malisa) Haflich, Donald (April) Haflich II, Adam & Megan Wohlers, Chad (Dora), Tad (Amy), Cory, & Zackary "Zack" & Blake Wellsted, great grandchildren, Ben, Carter, Emma, Julia & Barbara, special friends, Jimmy & Phyllis Ente, Ed & Louise Hall, Scott Wellsted, Tim, Marsha & Dakota Neith, Jeff & Diane Dutton. Preceded in death by brothers Robert & William, sister Annabelle Lee Crabb, brother in law Ray Vierra, sisters in law Marge Vierra, Mary & Ilene Haflich, grandchildren Tyler Scott Wellsted and James Otto Wellsted.

Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care, Maple Lake.
