Obituary
Donald C. Badger, age 89, of Annandale died Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at the Buffalo Hospital.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with Memorial Services held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 18, 2012 at the Annandale United Methodist Church with Rev. Ruth Hograbe officiating. Interment will follow at St. Ignatius Catholic Cemetery, Annandale. Memorials are preferred.
Donald C. Badger was born June 20, 1922 in St. Paul to Dean and Carmie (West) Badger. He married Frances "Fran" Blomstrand on September 23, 1944 in St. Paul and she preceded him in death on May 7, 2005. After a 41-year career he retired in 1982 as a Bond Trader and Vice-President of First Bank of St. Paul. Don lived in St. Paul until moving to Cedar Lake near Annandale in 1977. He was a member of the Annandale United Methodist Church, Minnesota Pioneer Park, and the Cedar Lake Conservation Club. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and the Minnesota Vikings.
He is survived by his nine children Leslie Kreutter (Mark Trostad) of Annandale, Katherine Badger of Oakdale, William (Nan) of Welcome, Joan Cotten-Parks (Steve Parks) of Tucson, Donald R. (Kristin) of Ham Lake, Lynne (James) Kuhn of Shakopee, Robert of Cottage Grove, Carol Gandrud of St. Paul, Paul (Jeannie) of Afton, 19 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, sister Marjorie Felde of Ogilvie, step-brother Bob (Midge) Andreas, and step-sister Patricia (Gerald) Rowe. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and step-mother Lucille Badger.
The urn bearer will be Jeremy Badger and the music for the service will be provided by Sharon Planer and Mike Sommers. The arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.
