Dolores G. Miller, age 83, of Annandale died Friday, November 27, 2009 at the Annandale Care Center.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Annandale with Fr. Victor Valencia officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Annandale. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the St. Ignatius Catholic Church Gathering Space. There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. Monday.
Dolores Gertrude Miller was born June 10, 1926 in Corinna Township, Wright County to Joseph & Eleanor (Wolters) Langanki and in 1944 graduated from Annandale High School. During WW II she worked at an airplane factory in St. Cloud. Dolores married Warren R. Miller October 16, 1946 at St. Luke's Catholic Church, Clearwater and he preceded her in death on January 3, 2008. She was a homemaker raising six children as well as assisting her husband on the farm in Corinna Township. She was a member of the Neighborhood Club, St. Ignatius Catholic Church, and the Council of Catholic Women. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, and being the family historian as she journaled daily for the past 33 years.
She is survived by her children & their spouses Gregory & Diane of Annandale, Ellen & Gregg Chapin of Fair Haven, Richard & Sandra of Annandale, Lester & Pamela of Brainerd, Michael & Kathryn of Annandale, Mark & Debra of Annandale, sisters, brother & their spouses Mildred & Carl Miller of Elk River, Collin & Betty Langanki of Maple Lake, Joann & Gerald Martinsen of Summerset, WI, sisters in law Donna Langanki of St. Paul, Roseanna Ojala of St. Cloud, Lorraine Miller of Annandale, Franny Miller of Annandale, brother in law Gussie Miller of Russell Springs, KY, 15 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, infant son, and brother Donald Langanki.
The pallbearers will be grandsons Justin, Roy, Isaac, Christopher & Adam Miller, Matthew & Andrew Chapin. The honorary pallbearers will be granddaughters Sarah Kelly, Amanda Hildebrand, Shannon Seiffert, Molly Uecker, Abbie Schrader, Dana Shepard, Elizabeth Miller, Hannah Manuel and great grandchildren Jade, Logan, Evelyn, Aric, Ezra, Quinn and Kayla. The music for the service will be provided by Sarah Goelz, soloist and Krista Elsenpeter Tarbox, organist. The arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.
