Dolores L. Gunderson, age 71, of South Haven died Tuesday, December 30, 2003 at the Annandale Care Center.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2004 at St. John`s Lutheran Church, Annandale with Rev. Scott Jakel officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and one hour prior to the funeral on Sunday at the church. There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. Saturday.
Dolores Louise Gunderson was born March 29, 1932 at Annandale to Frank and May (Fieldseth) Gunderson. She worked for Leef Brothers Laundry Service, Minneapolis for 34 years before retiring in 1994. Dolores was raised in Annandale and lived in Buffalo for 20 years before moving to South Haven in 1997. She loved her family especially her nieces and nephews, her religion, and traveling.
Dolores is survived by two sisters, Marjorie Lueders of South Haven, Hazel Kotila of Cokato; brother, Richard (Ethilda) Gunderson of Buffalo; sister in law, Frieda Gunderson of Annandale; many nieces; nephews; and other relatives; special friends, Lorraine Werner and Laverne Pelzer. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Walter Gunderson; and sister, Dorothy Gunderson.
Pallbearers will be Lenny Lueders, Fred, Alan, and Brian Gunderson, Randy and Tim Gunderson. The organist for the funeral will be Orma Lou Jacobsma.
