Dennis was born on August 30, 1949 in Buffalo, MN to Jay and Marie Rasset. He owned Rasset Concrete & Masonry since 1977 and was proud to have worked side-by-side with his sons, Chris and Shane. All of his brothers and most of his brothers-in-law worked for Dennis at one time or another over the years. In addition to his concrete and masonry business, Dennis, with his wife, Jo Ann, owned En La Silla Peruvian Horses in Maple Lake where they raised Peruvian horses. Their sons, grandson, and daughter-in-law often joined them for trail riding and horse camping excursions.

Dennis was an adventurer, enjoying home building, motorcycling, traveling, horses, skiing, camping and many other adventures. Dennis could fix anything broken, build anything he set his mind to, enjoy all that life offered and accept his many health setbacks. He loved his family above all else and will be remembered as a good husband, father, grandpa, son, brother, uncle and as a good man. He was our hero and mentor and was known by many and loved by all.
