Dennis R. Ogilvie, age 78, of Annandale, died on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at the St. Cloud VA Medical Center.

Private family services will be held.

Dennis Robert Ogilvie was born on November 29, 1947, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Robert and Evelyn (Rynchek) Ogilvie. Denny grew up in Richfield and graduated from Washburn High School in 1965. Following his graduation, he proudly served his country in the United States Army. Upon his honorable discharge, Denny returned to Minnesota.

On August 31, 1973, he married Linda Knowles in Edina, Minnesota. Together, they raised their family in Maple Lake. Denny's career as a welder was marked by his self-employment with Ogilvie Enterprises.

In retirement, Denny and Linda found solace in the quiet beauty of Nashwauk, where he enjoyed the joys of nature, particularly hunting, fishing, and trapping. His connection with the outdoors was a testament to his adventurous spirit and love for the natural world. As his health began to decline, they returned to the area, making their home in Annandale.

Denny is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Linda; children, Jennifer Ogilvie and Bob (Erin) Ogilvie; grandchildren, Hunter, Lexie, and Keaton Karie, and Sawyer, Blake, and Izzy Ogilvie; stepgrandchildren, Alex and Avin Schuler; great-grandchildren, Elayna and Nova; sister, Patricia (Ron) Matson; and brother-in-law, Tim Hiltz; and other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Evelyn; brothers, Roger and James; and sister, Rob-Lyn Hiltz.
