Dennis E. Bloom, age 72 of South Haven and formerly of Minneapolis died Monday, January 5, 2009 at his home.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 9, 2009 at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale. Rev. Dave Nelson will officiate and burial will be in Pleasantview Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the services, Friday at the funeral home.
Dennis E. Bloom was born June 26, 1936 in Minneapolis to Emil and Ruth (Ahlstrom) Bloom. He married Linda Murtha on January 12, 1980 at the Ft. Snelling Chapel in Minneapolis. Dennis worked as a painter and was a member of the Minneapolis Painters Union. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, playing cards, cooking and gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Linda of South Haven; many nieces and nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Betty Kleve; and brother, David Bloom.
Rev. Dave Nelson will provide the music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care, Annandale.
