Delbert R. Holm, age 87, of 580 Hazel Ave E, Kimball died Sunday, April 20, 2008 at his home.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at the Church of Christ, Kimball with Pastor Vern Harris officiating. Interment will follow in the Kimball Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the Church. The arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Kimball.
Delbert Russell Holm was born March 22, 1921 in Wright County to Amhurst and Della Holm. In 1940 he graduated from Buffalo High School. He married Bernice Erickson on August 3, 1943 and she preceded him in death on April 27, 1977. He married Rheba Brown Hewitt on June 9, 1978. Delbert lived in the Montrose and South Haven areas until moving to Kimball in 1978. He was a milk hauler for over 20 years and then was a machinist working for Advanced Manufacturing, Tel Elect, and Schwartz Manufacturing. In his retirement years he drove School Bus for Hendricks Bus Service. He enjoyed going to the woods & cutting firewood, repairing John Deere lawn mowers, and bowling.
He is survived by his wife, Rheba of Kimball; children, Barb (Dave) Winter of Montrose, Dennis Holm of Milaca, Bev Peterson of Monticello, Becky Rogers of Red Wing, Dan (Jane) Holm of Glencoe, Dean (Sue) Holm of Hot Springs, AR; step daughters, Mary (Garrett) Anfinson of Willmar, Pam (Todd) Fischer of Kimball; 21 grandchildren; and 23 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife Bernice, son Donald, sister Viola Block, brother Kenneth, and an infant brother.
