Obituary

Dean A. Baker, age 45, of Buffalo died Monday, August 20, 2007 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids.

Memorial Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 23, 2007 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Maple Lake. Rev. Peter Martinson and Rev. Steven King will officiate and the burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.

Dean Allen Baker was born April 1, 1962 in Aimes, Iowa to Richard and JoAnn (Johnson) Baker. He moved to Minnesota in 1975 and graduated from Anoka High School in 1981. He married Judy Huikko on April 27, 1985 at St. Timothy Catholic Church in Maple Lake. Dean worked at Carlson Company for over 20 years, Dash & Thompson in Minneapolis and was most recently self employed as a computer programmer. He was a member of the Maple Lake Lions Club. Dean enjoyed fishing, bowling, golfing, Geo Caching and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Judy; daughters, Karen and LeeAnn; mother, JoAnn of Champlain; grandmothers, Stella Baker and Inez Johnson, both of Iowa; sisters, Debra (Todd) Anderson of Coon Rapids and Sandra (Kurt) Marquardt of Rochester; brother, Tony (Nancy) of Eden Prairie; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. He is preceded in death by his father, Richard; grandfathers, Ed Baker and Jay Johnson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Frances Huikko.

Arrangements were entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care, Maple Lake.
