Obituary
Darrell G. Magnuson, age 74, of Kimball died Friday, November 10, 2006 at the V.A. Medical Center in St. Cloud.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 13, 2006 at Church of Christ, Kimball. Rev. Vern Harris will officiate and burial will be in North Kingston Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Kimball and one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
Darrell George Magnuson was born on October 24, 1932 in Kingston Township to Lawrence and Grace (Mayer) Magnuson. He served his country from 1951 - 1955 with the Navy during the Korean War. He worked in assembly at Frigidaire, St. Cloud for 15 years; in construction at Hodgeman Construction, Fairmont for 6 years; as a delivery man at Len & Bob`s Furniture, Kimball for 4 years; as a farmer; and as caretaker of Kimball and North Kingston Cemeteries. Darrell served on the Kimball Fire Department for 24 years and was a member of the Kimball American Legion Post 261. He enjoyed golfing and fishing.
He is survived by his brother, Irven of Litchfield; sister, Mavis of Farmington; half sisters, Elnora Newman of CA and Vera Theisen of Annandale; several neices and nephews, great neices and nephews, and great great neices and nephews. His parents; brother, John; half brother, Wayne Gulso; and a baby sister preceded him in death.
The pallbearers will be the Kimball Fire Department. Janet Eckman and Joyce Albert will provide the music for the service. Arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care, Kimball.
