Darlene F. LeBrun, age 79, of South Haven, died Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Cokato Manor.
Funeral Services will be held 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Zion United Methodist Church in South Haven. A walk through visitation will be held 11:00 - 11:45 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will follow the service at Zion United Methodist Cemetery. The services will be livestreamed on Dingmann Funeral Care's website.
Darlene Faith LeBrun was born February 18, 1942 in St. Cloud to LeRoy and Hazel (Marquardt) Johnson. She grew up in South Haven and graduated from Annandale High School with the Class of 1960. On March 7, 1960, Darlene was united in marriage to John LeBrun. They moved to Robbinsdale, then lived in Maple Lake for over 25 years. After retiring, they moved to Staples. Together, John and Darlene enjoyed winters in Brownsville, TX. After John's death, Darlene moved back to the farm that she grew up on in South Haven.
Darlene worked for over 20 years as an account manager at Prudential in Plymouth. She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in South Haven, where she was active as an organist. She was also a former member of the Women of Today in Staples. Darlene liked to read and play the organ. She enjoyed animals, especially birds and her pet dogs and cats. Her greatest joy was time spent with family, especially her grandchildren.
Darlene is survived by her children, John, Jr. (Cindy) of Beavercreek, OH, James (Barbara) of Eagan, Scott (Darcy) of Auburndale, FL and Jay (Lori) of Big Lake; eleven grandchildren, John III (Shari), Justin (Kyra), Laura (Joseph II), Jason, Christopher (Rebecca), Ashley (John III), Ryan, Madison, Austin (Amber), Brooke and Gabrielle; twelve great-grandchildren, Andrew IV, Lilly, Isabella, Logan, Harper, Evelyn, Riley, Khloe, Joseph III, Mackenzie, Hannah, and Jaxon-John; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, LeRoy and Hazel Johnson; husband, John; and brother, Rodney Johnson.
Darlene's grandchildren will serve as casket bearers.
