Obituary

Darlene L. Isaacson, age 82, of Annandale, died Monday, October 12, 2026, at Cokato Manor.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 22, 2026, at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Annandale with visitation 1 hour prior. Pastor Culynn Curtis will officiate. Burial will take place at a later date at Morningside Cemetery in Coon Rapids.

Darlene Lacorda Schlee was born on May 7, 1944, at St. Mary's Hospital in Minneapolis to Robert and Emma Schlee. She spent her younger years in Howard Lake, where she attended St. James Elementary School before moving to Buffalo. Darlene grew up in the Lutheran faith.

She graduated from Buffalo High School, and shortly thereafter, married the love of her life, Kenneth Isaacson, at Grace Lutheran in Fridley. Together, they built a family, first in Coon Rapids, where they raised their children, and later in Sugar Lake, where they made their home in 1991.

Darlene devoted much of her time to her family and homemaking while also working various part-time jobs, including helping families affected by fires. She loved crafts, especially ceramics, embroidery, and decorating for the holidays. Darlene was often found chatting on the phone with friends and family, sharing stories and laughter. She also enjoyed shopping and collecting items for her home.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Ken Isaacson; children, Dayna (Thomas) Davis of Andover and Shawn Isaacson of Coon Rapids; grandchildren, Drew (Kaylie) Davis and Payton Davis; sister, Elaine Knott of Plymouth; and nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Darlene is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Shelly Isaacson; siblings, Ervin Schlee, Cordella (Harold) Ulrich, LaVerna (Marce) Quast, and Dorothy (Marvin) Ruckle; and brother-in-law, Robert Knott.
