Dan was born as Daniel Charles Bonine on June 27, 1956 in St. Paul, MN to the late Gordon and Mabel (Stai) Bonine. He lived his entire life on Sugar Lake near Annandale. This is where Dan enjoyed fishing and cruising in his pontoon with family and friends. Dan married the love of his life, Lynne J. Olson, on May 3, 1980 in Golden Valley, MN. He and Lynne are the very proud parents of Chuck, born on June 7, 1988. In addition to his full time career as an automobile mechanic, Dan started a successful excavating company doing work in the Annandale and surrounding area for many years. He was a "jack" of many trades, mastering most. If it was mechanical and didn't work, Dan had the ability to adjust, tune or repair, keeping engines running long past their prime. While Dan wasn't the greatest golfer, he enjoyed a day on the course with his son, Chuck. Besides his family and friends, Dan loved his dog, TJ. Dan was a member of the Sugar Lake association water patrol for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Lynne of Annandale; loving son, Chuck of Annandale; sister, Joy (David) Kurth of St. Cloud; brothers, Mike (Lori) of Inver Grove Heights, Gordon (Sheila) of Cottage Grove, and Jerry (Linda) of St. Paul; many nieces and nephews; and many lifelong friends too numerous to mention.
