Dana Rose Von Wahlde was born on February 10, 1965 in Aitkin, Minnesota to Richard and Donna (Huber) Pursley. In 1969, Dana moved with her family to Litchfield, where she attended St. Philip's grade school. She graduated with the Litchfield High School Class of 1983. Dana furthered her education by attending vocational school in White Bear Lake and Ridgewater College in Willmar with a certified medical assistant degree. On April 20, 1991 she was united in holy matrimony to John Von Wahlde at St. Philip's Catholic Church in Litchfield. Together, Dana and John made Kimball their home where they raised their children, Joseph (age 18) and Lily (age7). Dana began working in the medical field at the age of 15 when she began working for Dr. Olson in high school. For the past 28 years, she was employed by the Hutchinson Medical Center as a medical assistant. She made many friends at her job in the clinic and loved her career. Her patients were fond of her and she will be greatly missed by many. Dana was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Kimball. She was very active in the Kimball Booster Club and was a coach, along with John, for many years for little league baseball. She loved going to all the sporting events where her famous whistle could be heard quite often. In her spare time, Dana enjoyed golfing, swimming, and simply being outdoors. She found great enjoyment in attending her children's events and was always their biggest fan. Above all, Dana treasured the time she was able to spend with her entire family.
