Corinne E. Bourgeois, age 93, of Annandale died Monday, June 19, 2006 at the Annandale Care Center.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 23, 2006 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 18380 Columbus St., Dayton with Fr. Peter Richards officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. A gathering will follow at the Dayton Bar & Grill.
Corinne Esther Bourgeois was born March 14, 1913 at Dayton to Horace and Lucy (Fisette) Bourgeois. For most of her life she lived and worked in Minneapolis as an elevator operator for Dain Towers, Medical Arts Building, and the Grain Exchange Building. Corinne enjoyed her family, roommate Caroline, and the employees of Centennial Villa and Annandale Care Center. She loved to dance, joke, and was a fun person to be with.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers & sisters, Archie Bourgeois & his son Alvin, Ella & Ray Maisonneuve & their daughter Shirley Ledwith, Alice Desrocher Heisman & husbands Bill Desrocher & John Heisman, Elmer & Fran Bourgeois. She is survived by nieces & nephews, Dorothy Bourgeois, John Ledwith, Doug & Mary Jo Maisonneuve, Lorraine Everette, Wilbur & Madonna Desrocher, Marvin & Jeanne Desrocher, Lucille & Howard Selander, Bill & Julie Desrocher, Bob & Kathy Desrocher; also 43 grand nieces & nephews and many great grand nieces & nephews.
The pallbearers will be Jim & Marie Ledwith and the music will be provided by Sharon Williams, organist & Nancy McAlpine, soloist.
