Obituary
Colleen J. Ross, age 77, of Annandale, formerly of Hopkins, died Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m., Friday, April 27, 2012 at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale with Rev. Peter J. Martinson officiating. Burial will be at Pleasantview Cemetery. Friends may call from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel and one hour prior to service on Friday.
Colleen Joan Ross was born November 1, 1934 in Tracy, Minnesota to Michael Leo and Hallie Lucille (Swift) Ross. Colleen attended school at Vocational High School in Minneapolis. She worked for Johnson Nut for 40 years and then started her own business, Ross Brokerage. She retired after 20 years on January 1, 2010. Colleen enjoyed her gambling trips to the casino and gardening. She also had an interest in cars. Colleen's greatest enjoyment was the time she spent with her sisters and brothers and their families.
She is survived by her siblings Judee (Russell) Nemitz of Brooklyn Center, Gayle (Allen) Renstrom of Annandale, Michael Ross of Bruce, South Dakota, Sue Ross of Coon Rapids and Steve Ross of Coon Rapids; sisters-in-law, Joan Ross and Judy Ross; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends. Colleen is preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Hallie, brothers, Lester and Alan Ross, niece, Tracy Nemitz and good friend, Gert Solmonson.
The honorary pallbearers will be Steve Ross, Denny Puhl, Johnny Nemitz, Chris Renstrom and Mark Renstrom. Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care of Annandale.
