Clifward L. Weigelt, age 71, of 13067 73rd Ave., South Haven died Monday, January 31, 2005 at St. Joseph's Hospital, St. Paul.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 4, 2005 at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Kimball with Fr. David Grundman officiating. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Kimball. There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. Thursday.
Clifward Lloyd Weigelt was born July 29, 1933 in Eland Township, Beltrami County to Henry and Wilma (Boltman) Weigelt. He was a paratrooper in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and married Charlotte M. Herman on September 4, 1954 in Minneapolis. He worked as a printer his entire lifetime, most recently for Kenning Outsource, Waite Park. He has lived at South Haven the past 17 years, previously living in Luxemburg. He was a member of St. Anne's Church and enjoyed the outdoors, woodworking, and gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte of South Haven; children, Carla Austin of Coon Rapids, Dean of Cross Lake, Veronica of Brainerd, Anna Donnay & her husband, Walter of Andover, Barbara of Otsego, Butch of South Haven; sisters, brothers, & their spouses, Lorraine & Curtis Black of Sheldon, ND, Florence & Art Tweten of Eveleth, Herman Weigelt of Spokane, WA, Wilma & Robert Gregorich of Eveleth, Margie & Clarence Neal of Smyrna, TN, Joseph & Rita Harriman of Smyrna, TN, Albert Harriman of LaVern, TN; 14 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Stephen; daughter, Christi Ann Benson; brothers, Herbie, Dale, Glen, & Marvin; and sister, Luella Knafla.
The pallbearers will be Pete Mies, Bill Adolph, Jr., Walter Donnay, Justin & Ben Weigelt, and Dale Faraone, Jr. The arrangements were by Dingmann Funeral Care of Kimball.
