Clifton P. Jude, age 88, of Maple Lake, died Saturday, May 12, 2012 at the Annandale Care Center.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 17, 2012 at St. Timothy Catholic Church, Maple Lake with Fr. Michael Becker as the Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Timothy's Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday, both at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake. Parish Prayers will be led by Deacon Ron Freeman at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Clifton Paul Jude was born February 10, 1924 in Maple Lake to Paul and Margaret (Reordan) Jude. He graduated from Maple Lake High School and lived his entire life in the Maple Lake area. Cliff served his country in the Merchant Marines during World War II. On August 31, 1948, he was united in marriage to Rita Ann Munstenteiger at St. Timothy Catholic Church in Maple Lake. Cliff worked for Jude Candy and Tobacco in Maple Lake for many years. He was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church. Cliff enjoyed sports, golfing, traveling, spending his winters in Texas and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his seven children & their spouses Christine & Bruce Fuller of Monticello, Ben & Terry of Maple Lake, Patty & Merle Marohn of Annandale, Andy & Susan Jude of Howard Lake, Michelle & Tim Pippo of Maple Lake, Mary Leason of Coon Rapids and Lisa & Brad Miller of Annandale; brother Fr. Robert Jude of Annandale; 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Rita and brother Jack.
Pallbearers will be Jim, Todd and Kurt Jude, Paul and Grant Leason, Dale Fuller, David Marohn and Matthew Miller. Sarah Goelz and Krista Elsenpeter Tarbox will provide the music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care, Maple Lake.
